I hope these pictures are an inspiration to those battling the American diet and think they are to old to change their ways. Back at the beginning of 2013, as I approached 60 you can see I weighed 244#, had a 42” waist and was popping lots of prescriptions. I started an exercise program as a 2013 NY resolution. In the beginning it was tough and during the summer of 2013 I adopted a whole foods, plant based lifestyle. As of April 20, 2014, I am 196# a 33” waist and am off most of the pills. My normal exercise routine is an hour of weights, hour of cardio: elliptical or treadmill, and 20 mins of stretching 5 -6 days a week. Getting up at 5 AM to start is normal.  As a result, I have added lots of pounds of muscle too. And by the way, when people ask… “Oh so your a Vegan, where do you get your protein from?” I respond “do I look like I need protein.” Don’t buy into that nonsense there is plenty of protein in plant based foods and Vegan protein supplements. If you need help, I would gladly share my story, secrets and resources with you, after all we old boomers shouldn’t be bowing out too soon.

Amazing!!
